In 1999 a group of close family friends' love of high quality wine pushed them to become entrepreneurs and create Bodegas ViñaGuareña.
Together they bought 30 hectres of land in the D.O. region of Toro in the Guareña river valley (a Duero river tributary) and an old winery building which they refurbished into a state of the art winery. Their vines aged from 5 to 30 years produce Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo).
What makes Bodegas ViñaGuareña's quality stand out is their continuous search for perfection in their wine making methods, they sacrifice up to 50% of their production by thinning their vines to obtain high quality grapes.
